We provide specialty design services for Change of Use or Change of Occupancy projects!

So what is a change of use permit?  It's a type of building permit that's required when the intended use of a building or space changes from one type of use or occupancy to another.  The permit ensures the new use complies with building codes and provides information to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy for the new use.  Building Officials sometimes require either new tenants or building owners to have an Architect  provide drawings that ensures that the space complies with the current codes.  The majority of the time no construction is required and this is solely a documentation exercise , but if a significant change in occupancy is occurring some additional features could be required.  This design work would provide a basic floor plan to the building official to provide a graphic representation of the new space, the new requirements, and propose any alteration   to show the required items that need to be upgraded prior to occupancy.

If you have a need for this type of service, we are here for you, and would welcome to the opportunity to provide you a proposal for this service.  We are licensed Architects in Georgia - license #RA011620, Alabama - license #9119, Florida - license #AR97938, North Carolina - license #15908, South Carolina - license #AR9557, and Tennessee - license #105778.    If you have a project in these areas please click the contact information below and send us an email.
